Woohoo! Finally we see them kiss. Even after that particularly harrowing event in the last episode (I won't mention details cause of spoilers) they were like "You okay?"..."Yep"..."Good." And I was like "What the f*&k!.....No kisses!!!!"
This NEEDS to happen! Not just because of "Heck, yes! Lesbians!", but simply because it's fair. Amy and Rory got their big kisses (I think there were a few of them) and even the Doctor got his. But still...Heck, yes! Lesbians!
I always love your work, and I have to (also am prepared to) admit that a bunch of times in the name of the doctor I was sure that they should kiss. Who wouldn't kiss their wife when they just came back to life? Seriously.
LET IT HAPPEN! I was thinking about it earlier today, I understand that it's on at a family time, but the Doctor can kiss his wife, Rory can kiss his. Hell even Jack kissed the Doctor in his ninth generation, and I'm pretty sure that he and Ianto did in one of the later episodes, they managed to get away with a kiss on the forehead from Jack to Ianto, and then... Sorry rant over. I'm not entirely sure why their against this, I think it might be the interspecies thing, or the fact that they're women. I just don't understand why two women is far more taboo than two men. Jack and the Doctor locked lips before the watershed Why can't Vastra and her WIFE? I don't really understand, hell if it was just a kiss on the forehead, but I suppose there would be people who'd complain.
Sorry I'll stop the rant now, but this is really gorgeous! I just love it!
Actually, Neve McIntosh did say that the prosthetics don't go all the way to her lips, so it's not completely out of the question.
(This was at the Return to the Eleventh Hour Convention in Birmingham. After Neve mentioned that she and Catrin Stewart might bully Moffat into allowing them to kiss in a future episode, my brother - being an immature sod - yelled out "YOU SHOULD START PRACTICING NOW!" You know, I love my brother dearly, but sometimes I'm embarrassed to be related to him... )
